May looks

Taking a cue from today's post of Andy, one of my favorite bloggers, I decided to also make a recap of my May looks! Looking at them we can see the gradual increase of temperature in this month. The former is decidedly winter and it's the outfit I wore on the second day in Brussels, was freezing! What is your favorite? Mine is the last, although I love the silver jacket I wear in the fourth! 

Prendendo spunto dal post di oggi di Andy, una delle mie blogger preferite, ho deciso di fare anche io un riassunto dei miei look di maggio! Guardandoli si nota il progressivo aumento delle temperature in questo mese. Il primo è decisamente invernale ed è il look indossato il secondo giorno a Bruxelles, si congelava! Qual'è il vostro preferito? Il mio è l'ultimo, anche se la giacchetta argento che indosso nel quarto la adoro!

Sunday afternoon

In this period, when the climate is so wonderfully summer, I try to stay outside as much as I can, with consequent disappointment of my parents ("this house is not a hotel" sound familiar?). Also from June 1 I'm going to start working so I decided to enjoy these last few days of too much free time. I shot these photos yesterday afternoon and I was wearing an outfit that I particularly like. The only discordant note: the pallor of my skin! I would like to be always like that!

In questo periodo in cui il clima è così meravigliosamente estivo cerco di stare il più possibile fuori casa, con conseguente disappunto dei miei genitori ("questa casa non è un albergo" vi suona familiare?). Inoltre dal 1 giugno inizio a lavorare quindi ho pensato di godermi questi ultimi giorni in cui ho fin troppo tempo libero. Queste foto le ho scattate ieri pomeriggio e indossavo un outfit che mi piace particolarmente. Unica nota stonata: il pallore della mia pelle!! Potessi sempre essere come in queste foto!

Free as the wind

The wind in your hair, the fluttering clothes look like wings and you seem to be free and fly in a beautiful spring day. Then you wake up the next day with cold and sore throats. Next time I will think twice before taking pictures on windy days :)

Il vento tra i capelli, i vestiti ondeggianti sembrano delle ali e ti sembra di essere libera e di volare in una bellissima giornata primaverile. Poi ti svegli il giorno dopo con raffreddore e mal di gola. La prossima volta ci penserò due volte prima di scattare in giorni ventosi :)

Kawaiizzazioni

As mentioned in my last post, last Friday I was at the art exhibition Kawaiizzazioni held in the charming hotel MO.OM. The artist Tomoko Nagao (with me in the last photo) reinterprets the works of great artists such as Caravaggio, Velasquez and Botticelli making them "kawaii" and contaminating them with global brands (Coca Cola,Barilla, Sonrio etc..). A truly original and interesting exhibition because it is a kind of allegory of the age of globalization. My favorite work? Botticelli's Venus, which comes from a console PSP PlayStation!

Come anticipato nello scorso post, venerdì scorso sono stata alla mostra Kawaiizzazioni che si è tenuta nel suggestivo hotel MO.OM. L'artista Tomoko Nagao (con me nell'ultima foto) reinterpreta grandi opere di artisti come Caravaggio, Velasquez e Botticelli rendendole "kawaii" e contaminandole con brand globali (Coca Cola, Barilla, Sonrio ecc.). Denim

A few days ago I took some pictures with my boyfriend enjoying the nice weather that seems to persist (soon summer comes, I'm too happy!). I actually bought the denim shirt I'm wearing for my boyfriend on sale this winter, but when he tried it on, I  discovered that I chose the wrong size :) So instead of changing it, I decided to keep it, and finally, I was able to wear it with the right accessories. In fact I don't know why I didn't noticed that it was too small :)! But sometimes I let myself be taken by the force of the shopping and buy in a frantic free-check sizes. During sales last winter I've a lot of times going back to the shop to fix my mistakes! Never happens to you?

Qualche giorno fa ho scattato qualche foto con il mio ragazzo approfittando del bel tempo che sembrerebbe persistere (manca poco all'estate, sono troppo felice!!). La camicia di jeans che indosso in realtà l'ho acquistata per il mio ragazzo questo inverno in saldo, ma quando l'ha provata ho scoperto di aver clamorosamente sbagliato taglia :) Così invece di cambiarla ho deciso di tenermela, e finalmente, abbinandola ai giusti accessori sono riuscita ad indossarla. In effetti avrei dovuto accorgermi che era troppo piccola :)! Ma a volte mi lascio prendere dall'impeto dello shopping e compro in maniera frenetica senza controllare bene le taglie. Durante i saldi lo scorso inverno mi è capitato un sacco di volte di dover tornare al negozio per rimediare ai miei errori! A voi non capita mai?

A party without friends is not a party

Last Sunday my family and I were invited at the First Communion of my little cousin Matteo. For this occasion I chose an outfit somewhat androgynous yet elegant. The highlight is the blazer that I think can enhance any outfit. Here are some photos of the party at the restaurant after the ceremony, where we ate very well. It was a special day, not just for Matteo but for all of us and it was an opportunity to gather with friends and relatives who we can't see very often. Basically as Matteo says "a cake without sugar is not a cake, a party without friends is not a party."

Domenica scorsa io e la mia famiglia siamo stati alla Prima Comunione del mio cuginetto Matteo. Per l'occasione ho scelto un outfit un po' androgino ma elegante. Il pezzo forte è il blazer che secondo me può arricchire qualsiasi mise. Ecco qualche foto della festa al ristorante dopo la cerimonia, dove abbiamo mangiato benissimo. E' stato un giorno speciale, non solo per Matteo ma per tutti noi ed è stata l'occasione per riunirci con amici e parenti che non riusciamo a vedere spesso. In fondo come dice Matteo "una torta senza zucchero non è una torta, una festa senza amici non è una festa".

Day 2 in Brussels

The second day of my short Easter vacation in Brussels was intense, we saw many wonderful things about this city. In the afternoon we were in Antwerp, a beautiful city located a few kilometers from Brussels, famous for fashion and design. We were accompanied by my second cousins ​​who now live in Belgium and who always went to see taking advantage of our holiday. It was great to finally meet them and see places that otherwise would not have known. Often be guided by a person who lives in the country you are visiting is much more enriching.

Il secondo giorno della mia breve vacanza pasquale a Bruxelles è stato intenso, abbiamo visto molte cose meravigliose di questa città. Nel pomeriggio siamo stati ad Anversa, una magnifica città situata a pochi chilometri da Bruxelles, famosa per la moda e il design. Siamo stati accompagnati dai miei cugini di secondo grado, che ormai vivono in Belgio da sempre e che siamo andati a trovare approfittando della nostra vacanza. E' stato bello poterli finalmente conoscere e vedere posti che altrimenti non avrei conosciuto. Spesso avere come guida una persona che abita nel Paese che stai visitando è molto più arricchente. 

Having fun at the Comic Strip Museum

Among the things done in Brussels, the visit to the Comic Strip Museum was definitely the most fun. It was also a wonderful experience because I love to draw and sometimes I also made some comic strips, so the possibility to see the original illustrations by artists like Hergé and Peyo was very exciting. A visit to this museum is a real experience because of the magnificent scenery and curiosities that accompany the illustrations.

Tra le cose fatte a Bruxelles la visita al Museo del Fumetto è stata sicuramente la più divertente. E' stata un'esperienza magnifica anche perchè io adoro disegnare e a volte ho realizzato anche qualche storia a fumetti, perciò poter vedere le tavole originali di artisti come Hergé e Peyo è stato molto emozionante. Una visita in questo Museo è una vera e propria esperienza con magnifici scenari ed oggetti curiosi che accompagnano le tavole.
