Munich is a city full of options if you are vegan or vegetarian. A few months ago I came back to this beautiful city where I lived for two years as soon as I moved to Germany, with the intention of trying out some new restaurants. When I was living in Munich I wasn’t a vegetarian yet, so I wouldn’t have thought of eating in a vegan restaurant, but I didn’t know how wrong I was. Even if you are not vegan I recommend eating at Siggis, a cozy and cheap restaurant.
As always let’s start from the interior, a fundamental element in all my reviews. The room where we had lunch at Siggis was really welcoming. Having eaten rather early we managed to enjoy our food in solitude, only towards the end of the meal another couple arrived. I loved the blackboard wall on which everyone could write a message and the pictures with quotes that made the restaurant really nice.
That day we were in the mood for “junk food” so we opted for two very caloric and tasty dishes. I opted for a delicious vegetarian lasagna, with a small salad as side dish. Ste chose a sandwich stuffed with mushrooms and sweet potatoes and french fries. Both dishes were delicious and are a proof that eating vegan does not give up the pleasure of good food. The dishes have filled us so much that we decided to skip the dessert, but the menu, which changes according to the seasons, had options that looked really delicious! If you are in Munich or plan a trip to this amazing Bavarian city, I highly recommend this restaurant!
