The last post was about the first three fashion shows I attended during Berlin Fashion Week. In this second post I want to talk about two other brands I really loved because of the colors and materials chosen and the portability of the clothes and they are: Steinrohner and Mykke Hofmann. Both brands are composed by a designer duo and both have brought a super-feminine and elegant woman on the catwalk. But let’s analyze the collections in the specific.
The protagonists of Steinrohner collection are the wonderful historic lithographies of flowers transformed into beautiful prints on black and white backgrounds. The colors chosen are pastel with some metallic silver accents and fabrics such as organza and cotton clash with transparent plastic used for accessories but also for jackets. The presented figure is super feminine and elegant as in a modern fairytale.
The two designers presented their first collection of their brand under the new name, Mykke Hofmann, formerly Holy Ghost. For this change the designers committed themselves a lot to present a collection that is studied in detail and in fact the result is really amazing. I loved the wearability of the clothes and the colors that are once again pastel and not too bright except for red. The oblique stripes prints are the protagonists as well as the ruffles details. I liked the t-shirt with empowering phrases such as: “listen to your mother” or “values matter” presented very well in the final.
